Ben Mazzotta is founding partner and creative director of Little Engine Moving Pictures, helming projects from concept through to delivery on time and on budget. After graduating from Ryerson University in Film and Image Arts, he worked for 9 years at University of Toronto producing, writing, directing, shooting, animating, editing and distributing documentaries and academic video content. Over the past 15 years he has created, produced, and directed over 100 hours of live-action and animated fictional, factual, and corporate video content for clients that include: University of Toronto, Aon Canada (Walmart, Tim Hortons, McDonalds), RBC, TD Bank, Microsoft Canada, 3M Canada, GE, XBox, Diageo, Teletoon, Family Channel, Rogers, TraffikGroup, Mackenzie Financial, McClellan Group, SpaFax and Guru Studio. Ben has also created, written and produced documentary Diverse City (OMNI TV), feature film The Limits (Super Channel), Now You Know (TVOKids - Canada, JimJam – pan-Europe/Middle East/Africa), and directed web series Yard Rescuers (Scotts Canada). He has two series in development: tween action- adventure series Starseeker and sci-fi thriller series The Picco Incident.
Maria Kennedy is founding partner and producer at Little Engine Moving Pictures where she manages the development, business, and funding aspects of Little Engine’s creative properties. In addition to producing corporate video content like Yard Rescuers and online ad campaigns for 3M Canada, she has worked for a decade as an art director, set decorator, and researcher for feature films and television. In 2006, Maria produced and co-wrote feature documentary Diverse City, developed and produced independent feature film The Limits (2008), and created and produced preschool educational series Now You Know (2014-15). She is an alumna of Ryerson University, National Screen Institute, Centennial College Independent TV Producer's Program, and WIFT Business Management for Media Professionals. Maria is currently in post-production on Season 2 of Now You Know and is seeking pre-sales and early investment opportunities for new preschool animated series
Milly and the Magic Box, tween series Starseeker, and sci-fi thriller series The Picco Incident. Maria is a member of Youth Media Alliance YMAMJ and Women In Film and Television.
